These are different, and for me, not in a good way. Maybe I have such fond memories of these songs, that any change would be unwelcome. I knew what I was buying. I took a chance. I lost. The songs still sound good. But as I said… different.

This two album set is truly spectacular. As Petey Green would say, "Sit back, put your feets on the hassack and get ready to groove!"

Highly recommended to the point of being must a have for any fan of the genre or artist. You know what to expect from a 45rpm pressing, this delivers all of that in spades. Again as with Exodus at 45rpm, this will be my go to from any and all vinyl copies. Thanks QRP/AP, another out of the park pressings.

Posted Friday, May 30, 2025 by Jake Can't believe no one has reviewed this yet as it's the best selling Pablo title. I'll do my civic duty. Typical AP perfection: flat, dead quiet. Jacket on par with the Prestige series. I was surprised to find out this is MONO - it's not listed - and it's all the better for it. Now the real stuff: this was recorded in California, it is NOT an RVG recording. As such it sounds different. Not worse - DIFFERENT. Low end is stronger than an RVG album. At first I thought it was muddy. I turned down my sub 30% and wham, it opened up and unfolded like a flower. Tatum and Webster are both slightly more recessed than an RVG recording would have them. And I like it. A lot. This one is for LISTENING. Save others for your demo choice. Pour a drink and let this all time classic wash over you like a warm breeze. A welcome change from the million RVG albums I've been listening to. Just gorgeous.

Quiet, flat with full soundstage that makes the music feel "3D" as it fills the room! Overwhelming bass and drums with the Paul Rodgers vocals "floating" in like fog on the water! I've added numerous AP releases to my collection, and this is the third from Bad Company. The quality for the cost is incredible! The celebration of the "Atlantic 75" has been a huge success in my humble opinion! Keep offering them up and I promise to keep buying them! Thank you, Acoustic Sounds!

I made the mistake of listening to this album after Gillian Welch's Woodland Studios and before Gillian Welch's The Harrow & the Harvest. The music is great here and it is good to hear new material from Alison Krauss & Union Station. But compared to the other vinyl listed here, I felt the sound was muffled and there was a lot of noise coming from the vinyl (and I did wash it before playing). I would gladly pay for a higher rez recording of this album.

The clarity of the percussion really stands out to me. Whom ever remastered this did an outstanding job. 3 or 4 of these titles being reissued would make me very happy.

Ian’s vocals have never sounded better. Chad and his team have outdone themselves with this fabulous reissue. How Jethro Tull are not in the hall of fame is criminal.
