It delivers what I'm sure is a second to none for vinyl, Roon DR of 21! Surpassing its equally stupendous UHQCD version's DR of 20. Extraordinary and legendary musical composition delivered in equal measure by vinyl at its utmost finest. AudioNautes should rightfully feel pride in in their work.

Top notch pressing and presentation and dead quiet. All of these Acoustic Sounds Series titles can easily be called definitive versions of these classic historically important albums.

Posted Sunday, January 25, 2026 by Randy This boxed set includes 3 releases of albums currently available (Cookin', Relaxin', and Steamin' - all are 2022 releases pressed at QRP).

The release of Miles appears to use the same plate as the recently released Craft Recordings versions of these albums, which is mastered by Kevin Gray (CR00722-A 43626.1(3)... KPG@CA). The only difference between the AP release and the Craft release appears to be pressing plant. However, the only proof I have is the rice paper QRP sleeve and a statement on the AS website. The jacket appears to be the same as the 1996 AP release of this title.

The release of Workin' appears to be different than the Craft Recordings release from a couple years ago. However, like the Craft release of the same title, Kevin Gray is the mastering engineer on this release. The jacket appears to be the same as the 1996 AP release of this title.

If you like smooth jazz, dive in, the water's fine! Concord records did a fine job as the vinyl plays completely quiet with the vocals, piano, bass and drums all having a distinct space as you listen. A high-quality recording in my humble opinion and offered at a great price. If you've every enjoyed being in a dark jazz club listening to the best of music, I suggest you buy this! Boz Scaggs has delivered some of the finest music over the years and this is no exception!

The record pressing quality of good, it’s not a thick 180gr but nice quality. I like most of the songs on first listen. I carefully cut the outer plastic wrap at the opening then slide it over the inner sleeve if it has stickers. After reading the inside cover I realized the front cover was full of hidden items when you start looking. This record is on sale and I recommend you get it if you like classic rock

Compressed, muffled sound. Under-water sound. Who cares about the picture on the record when the sound is this bad? Stop taking advantage of people.

I hate most modern LPs, compressed garbage (the Jazz labels can be great tbh) This went on sale and I adore Radiohead so… why not. GOOD GAWD folks this is life changing. My turntable can MAKE SOUNDS LIKE THIS? startling clarity. honestly. Big 3D enveloping sound like I honestly have never heard. 3rd song LP 1 so haunting I could cry, what in the hell (probably just the strong stout I drank) . highly highly recommend

Side A sounded pretty good with a lot of surface noise but otherwise sounded decent. I couldn't even play through Side B due to the distortion, etc.

My mac c2800 is usually set to +1 for bass but there is plenty of it on these 2 albums. i turned the bass down to zero. very quiet vinyl, low noise floor as some vinyl has. very very quiet. the 2nd lp is demo versions of his songs. very nice change and sounds just as good as the main LP. happy.

I fell love in love with Caelan’s first record after the first listen. This album is much different. There is so much more here and it takes time to really appreciate what is presented. It’s not just Caelan and a Bass player. The synergy between musicians is fabulous. Sound quality is great! Don’t believe Micheal Fremer’s liner notes. Great record!!
