Cooking Vinyl Pressing

5 Stars
Posted Monday, April 21, 2025 by Ron The pressing is excellent. Dead quiet vinyl with great highs and mid range but, a little light in bass which isn't problematic. I had to boost the bass slightly. I've been hoping for a suitable reissue of Tales for quite some time. This one doesn't disappoint.

Beautiful performance

4 Stars
Posted Wednesday, April 9, 2025 by Glenn The performance of these great symphonies is exceptional. I was a bit disappointed by the quality of the pressing -hence the 4 stars. It's good, but not as good as the Analogue Productions and UHQR pressings that I've been buying lately. I guess I'm spoiled.

Posted Tuesday, April 8, 2025 by Anonymous Not much to say. Received the album , put it on the TT, and dead silence until one of the better recordings I’ve ever heard starts. Get it before it’s gone.

Eric Clapton - Meanwhile Product No: ABUS 687661
Available: InStock
Category: Vinyl Record
Label: Bushbranch Records

5 Stars
Posted Monday, April 7, 2025 by Place Clapton himself outstanding many of the tunes are catchy, but by far this is not an audio file record, though the vinyl is very quiet, but don’t expect pie, so super sound quality, but I love the album for the music and the music is A+. In my opinion, you can’t let this album go by

Audiophile recording of stomping on stage.

1 Stars
Posted Saturday, April 5, 2025 by Anonymous If your into an audiophile recording of someone stomping on stage, then this album is for you. Why didn't I stream this first!? I was fooled by the 1 Step, pretty lady, Flamenco. I've bought a few stinkers through the years, this is the worst. Because of this purchase, I'm opening up a discogs account to sell it. At a loss if necessary.

Stream it first!

Ridiculously Great

Posted Saturday, March 29, 2025 by Joe This is one of the best blues albums I’ve ever heard, and one of the best live albums together.

The sound is phenomenal & the performance is incredible, this is an absolute must buy for anyone with even a passing interest in the blues.

Superb sound on an underrated gem

5 Stars
Posted Friday, March 28, 2025 by RR This pressing brings great soundstage and presence to an album often overlooked as a filler album. In particular, the rhythm section of Mick Fleetwood and John McVie have never sounded better on this album. Recommended!

Rebecca Pidgeon - The Raven Product No: ACRC 46
Available: InStock
Category: 180 Gram Vinyl Record
Label: Chesky

Beautiful recording, noisy pressing

4 Stars
Posted Thursday, March 27, 2025 by RC The record was beautifully recorded and mastered. Nice soundstage, good instrument separation for an 33 1/3 LP. The vocals are beautiful as are the piano and strings.

Unfortunately, my copy has too much surface noise for a record advertised as “audiophile.” Way too much. (I did a thorough cleaning before listening.) On another site, I read that the 2x45 pressing by QRP was also disappointingly noisy. That’s shocking to me, because I have over 100 LPs pressed by QRP and every one of them is pristine, dead quiet.

As for this Chesky pressing, despite the noise, I have no regrets about the purchase. It cost me $36, not $60 like the 2x45. And, for me, the positives outweigh the one negative.

What about the music? It’s lovely and her vocals are lovely. But taste is subjective. It’s always a good idea to stream a record before you buy it.

Excellent

Posted Thursday, March 27, 2025 by Anonymous Having owned and listened to the cd version for many years I am thrilled to have a copy of this on vinyl. They did this great music justice with the quality of the pressing. One of his best records in my humble opinion.

Head / Mind Blown - Superb Sonic Experience

5 Stars
Posted Sunday, March 23, 2025 by alternating.bit While I'll admit I only own a couple of other Original Master Recording records, I've never been so impressed by both the sound quality and packaging of a record like this, and I own over a thousand records. What's also interesting is I originally owned this album back in the '80s on cassette, then CD later and I was accustomed to the somewhat limited headroom on the album recording whenever those super punching drum hits kick in during tracks like "Dirty White Boy" and "Head Games." Yet this vinyl recording manages to lift the headroom to allow for those drums to not sound as compressed or clipped. In some ways I was alarmed by this because of what I was used to, yet ultimately I'm absolutely impressed and thrilled by the mastering for this vinyl release. Ironically I bought this album along with the 2-LP 45 RPM set of Foreigner's first album and this one actually sounds better to me; somehow deeper and with a wider frequency range. Highly recommend.

Lonnie Johnson - Blues & Ballads Product No: ACONC 838

Everything about this Album is an 11

5 Stars
Posted Wednesday, March 19, 2025 by Scott Adams Oh - my - my I never knew Lonnie Johnson has such a voice. Good Bless Rudy Van Gelder. I can hear the walls of the studio. I have to say as a fanatical Blues collector this LP Mastered at The Mastering Lab has shot right up to my TOP 10 Blues Albums. I had never seen the name Matthew Luthans but my hat is off to you Sir for a spectacular job at Mastering. Folks it just doesn't get any better than this. Chad Bless your heart for being the Blues Man you are and for watching over this.

Pretty Good

4 Stars
Posted Monday, March 17, 2025 by Tracy S I think this is well-crafted commercial rock, and all the songs have been played endlessly on classic rock stations. I haven't owned the CD for years but have to believe this LP is more emotionally engaging. It's not an audiophile pressing but sounds fine. A solid purchase.

On Can Hope

4 Stars
Posted Friday, March 14, 2025 by Anthony There are some real individual gems here among the 'required' fillers. Still, I'm glad to have this one in hopes that some of Etta's outstanding releases like Blue Gardenia and Mystery Lady will get the attention they deserve and come out on vinyl. Please.

Waiting for this Analogue Productions Series

5 Stars
Posted Thursday, March 13, 2025 by Olle Eriksson This is my favorite Genesis album, and for me one of the five best albums ever. I can hardly wait any longer for this release! It's been "To Be Announced" for at least six months. Why is it taking so long!!!

Bad Company - Run With The Pack Product No: AAPA 038-45

Category: 45 RPM Vinyl Record
Label: Analogue Productions (Atlantic 75 Series)

The album is sonically inconsistent, so be aware.

Posted Monday, March 10, 2025 by Sckott I had to dig out my two other copies: an original cut from Atlantic US (specialty, Variant 1), the 2LP reissue Miles cut from Abbey Road, and this one. I don't have an Island copy. At first, I thought something was technically off on my end, but alas, some cuts on this album aren't as intense (LFR) as others. Silver, Blue & Gold has a low delivery of bottom end, while something like Sweet Little Sister is more. This 2LP, 45rpm has much better clarity than the other two in general.

Thee Oh Sees - Carrion Crawler / The Dream Product No: AITR 222

A Psych Ride, Dream of an album. Hold on!

5 Stars
Posted Monday, March 10, 2025 by MP Man oh man, this album is electrifying! From the driving basslines to the kaleidoscopic guitars, the album's adventurous ride will keep you engaged, and its impact was undeniable in shaping the modern psych-rock and garage scenes of the 2010s. It not only marked a key moment in the band's evolution but also in my life in the early 2010s in Southern California.

If you like raw energy, elements of psychedelia and just organized chaos, this LP has got it. It's a sound that feels both modern, vintage AND innovative in a weird way. I remember the first time listening to it, drug free of course ( you won't need any with this album), an exhilarating ride through twisted guitar riffs, dynamic rhythms, and then John Dwyer's distinctive howling vocals... It was a breath of fresh air in a music scene already rife with retro influences, and Carrion Crawler/The Dream cemented Thee Oh Sees as one of the most exciting and innovative bands of their era (along with Ty Segal
