Posted Wednesday, July 17, 2024 by Anonymous This is the best record cleaning machine I have owned. I had the Audio Desk ultrasonic cleaner for years. I could get 2-3 years from it and would have to replace it. It did a good job but requires a lot of brushes and sponges that are replaced regularly and the machines don’t last. The KLAUDIO is a significant upgrade and very robust. Nothing is wearing out - I have cleaned thousands of records and it just works perfectly. I recognize this is a serious investment but I find it is worth it. I marvel at how effective the cleaning is and how well this machine works. It does a much better job than the Auto Desk and is incredibly reliable and easier to use. I’m very happy with this one.

Posted Friday, July 12, 2024 by Chris M. I listened to the AP version of the "Lightnin'" album before this one, so it's a pretty big difference in sound. Especially since the former is a RVG recording also.

This might have been mastered and mixed better, but I do not know what the original recordings sound like. The sound could be very true.

The record can be a little thin sounding, with a higher level of trebble than mid or bass. And, it feels as though track to track volume could be better equalized on some songs.

Then at some future date we revisit all those wonder records and it reminds us why we love this hobby so much. It all new again and it just feels right. The last few days I have been critical listening to the latest Acoustic Sounds Atlantic 75 series - INXS Kick and as you would expect it's high-quality audio / packaging. (Must say was not a big INXS Fan earlier in life - this release changed my stance on this Band) The INXS is next level with its 3D sound signatures and in your face appeal it is a sure winner. This will be on my table for a while as there is a lot to take in and enjoy.

The fine details of vocals and other aspects, like reverb and drums, and the authentic original tone, are all there. The vinyl is nice and quiet on my copy too. A great reissue for a fan and audiophile to have.

I was surprised because it isn't a "special" edition - just a very inexpensive standard issue. If you like Sonny Clark at all or anything with Hank Mobley... get this record. Hope yours is as good as mine!

Posted Wednesday, June 12, 2024 by Kevin K I have been a loyal customer of Ortofon cartridges for several years, progressing through the line from the pre-installed Red to Blue to the Bronze. Reading misc reviews, it sounded as though the Bronze was the cartridge that would fit my bill for the long run. I would look at the Black, contemplating what appeared to be a 50/50 feel for the value of upgrading from Bronze to Black vs. just trying the black stylus mounted to the Bronze. Anyway, I pulled the trigger on the Black this week with minimal expectations. Boy, was I WRONG! The Black provides an outstanding amount of realistic range on both ends as well as clarity increase beyond expectations - Certainly one of the most tangible improvements I've made to my system in the last couple of years! Thanks for having it in-stock !!

The music is sublime, the Alban Berg Quartet’s performance is superb and the sound quality is exemplary. This had to be some of the quietest vinyl we played in ages. This ten LP box set is a steal !!

Posted Thursday, June 6, 2024 by Stephen Norvell Four discs are immaculate, not a single tic or pop on the eight sides. Labels are perfectly centered. Vinyl is absolutely quiet. One hears the distinct separation of the instruments, as well as the palpable excitement of the audience. Sonics provide an appreciable improvement over the recent 2XHD 33 1/3 edition, in which the horns and drums are more forward, while the piano and vibes recede during the group passages. AudioNautes 45rpm edition balances the five instruments, more effectively presenting the music as an ensemble effort. -- Downside is the unsturdy exterior design, which is unlikely to withstand the test of time in remaining free of dings and dents. In contrast to the exemplary housing of the AP UHQRs and Impex 1-Steps, the dedication to the exterior housing simply does not reflect the same level of devotion to the meticulous crafting of the vinyl. Nevertheless, it's all about the sound. Only 989 pressings. You'll be thrilled to have one!
