Wore this out on tape; the vinyl reissue is excellent posted on 05/28/2024 5 Stars This, for me, will always be the seminal Beastie Boys record - an album that turned hip hop on its head. After the sample-heavy Paul's Boutique, the Beastie Boys returned to their instrument based roots (hence the photograph on the cover sitting on their instrument cases) and made a record which was singular in its breadth and depth.The sound on this pressing is excellent with all the dynamics and mid-range definitions.
