This pressing is by far the best experience I’ve had. Dead quiet, black background, fantastic soundstage and dynamics. Highly recommended.

I liked the demo version most especially the song “Only Dying”, which I have never heard of before. No issues on this one too. The sound is clear, crisp and natural.

More contemporary singles...super rich detail, separation, and very dynamic. SUCH a fun collection...had zero issues...flat, quiet, and centered.

Vinyl is double wrapped with quality sleeves inside artwork sleeves. 5 ALBUMS! with a nice bi-fold booklet. Digital download code included. AND so the vinyl is perfect! Sound mix is spectacular. The actual box is as good as it gets, applied pics and foil edges. HEAVY box! For 58 dollars! How does this happen?

The Greatest Hits version is live, which is fine, but I wanted the original. In any event, this version sounds utterly perfect. Whole album is excellent, and this pressing, DSD or not, sounds insanely great.

Posted Friday, January 13, 2023 by Jim W I will confine my comments to the sound. I have both vintage 60 year + discs as well as new pressings and new reissues. This recording is noticeably superior in all aspects than any other in my collection (except other releases in this ring series). The vocals are even clearer than when I last listened to a live performance of this opera at the NY Met. BUT, at least the first side of disc one was full of cereal noise until I put it through my vacuum cleaner after which there was but one soft click. I am very glad I jumped on the preorder early.

It's a huge step up comparing to standard edition.

I have only one trouble: original album, last track "something in the way" has some serious sound distortions in the right channel. Otherwise it's a very good sounding record.

So many incredible nuances and details I've never even heard, even after hearing all of these tracks countless times throughout my life. This is most likely the finest Thriller pressing ever to be pressed, highly HIGHLY recommended.

Posted Saturday, June 18, 2022 by Mark A work of visual art as much as a musical record. No aspect of this release, sonically or it's physical presentation is less than absolute. I realise there are Tool fans from back in the day who prefer other works but this is a fully-formed musical masterwork that fully justifies the extreme artistic presentation. They had the good sense to have it mastered at Bernie Grundman Mastering, and it shows. The sound is as detailed and 3 dimensional as an analog recording. In terms of pressing quality, my copy is silent and flawless throughout all 5 sides.

The vinyl is quiet and well pressed by Chris Bellman. The sound is as good as can be expected based on the conditions under which the recording was made.

All Digital Remasters

Posted Saturday, May 22, 2021 by Joseph Somsel There was no warning that all five of these discs are digital remasters - none are directly from the master tapes. One of the discs is not even of the original issue but of a rehearsal. Nice enough packaging though and the performances are exceptional and justly renowned.

That said they are clear and detailed but lack the analogue warmth and body I hoped for and expected.

For sound quality, I might have been better off buying the Testament reissue of the Elgar or even a clean, used "dog in postage stamp" LP.

Overall, a disappointing purchase.
