The rhythm section features a trio of heavy hitters with Red Garland on piano, Paul Chambers on bass and Philly Joe Jones on drums. Davis is joined by two of the greatest sax players of all time in Cannonball Adderley and John Coltrane. The recordings from 1958 feature Davis' first forays into developing modal jazz experiments as witnessed on the title track. A definite must for any jazz collector!
