This release presents the complete original album Night Train (Verve V6-538), one of the many masterpieces recorded by the classic Oscar Peterson Trio with Ray Brown and Ed Thigpen. Particularly focused on Duke Ellington compositions, this LP also features the earliest version of Peterson's own "Hymn to Freedom."

This is one of the best I've heard out of QRP. This is truly on the level of old Japanese vinyl, the JVC stuff. QRP is in the game on this one and makes me long for KOB on standard vinyl. This is a true must own both in content, sound quality, and pressing quality. WOW.

Skeptical, I took a chance on this one and finally hit the jackpot. This one is Quiet, flat and has a realistic presence. Like James Brown said, "Are you ready for the night train?"
