Cut by Doug Sax from the original masters and pressed on 180-gram vinyl at RTI.

The Eagles defined the southern California sound of the early 1970s, and their music was a veritable soundtrack for the first half of that decade. Released in 1976, Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975) went straight to No. 1 in Billboard and became the first album ever certified platinum. Now, it is certified a remarkable 29-times platinum, and almost always holds the No. 1 position on the RIAA's list of the all-time Top 100 Albums. The band is still going strong, as are the 10 classic tracks on this phenomenal disc, including "Take It Easy," "Take It To The Limit," "One Of These Nights," "The Best Of My Love" and more.

1. Take It Easy
2. Witchy Woman
3. Lyin' Eyes
4. Already Gone
5. Desperado
6. One Of These Nights
7. Tequila Sunrise
8. Take It To The Limit
9. Peacful Easy Feeling
10. Best Of My Love

Excellent mastering and pressing! Very quiet, dynamic and beautiful sounding LP. Side 1 not completely flat but doesn't seem to affect the sound. Highly recommended!

Can't top the DCC

Using my favorite track - One Of These Nights - I conducted my own 'shootout' between this pressing, Steve Hoffman's DCC pressing, and a NM original. My results (to my ears / on my system): 1. DCC 2. Original 3. Rhino

The DCC and original could actually tie for first, but the DCC has the quieter background (better vinyl).

The Rhino had a nice low end, at the expense of everything else. Mids were muffled, and the highs were sucked out completely. It's not a 'bad' pressing per se, but, if you want the best sound, find a clean original. That will be easier (i.e. more affordable) than finding a M/NM DCC.

I understand this Rhino pressing was cut from a digital file. I normally avoid 'Vinyl CDs', but I felt this one deserved a shot. It fell short.
