Named for one of Ornette Coleman's most evocative compositions, this band debuted for the Konceptions Music Series at Brooklyn's Korzo, a small Eastern European restaurant in South Slope Brooklyn. Until recently, its back room hosted one of the most exciting music series in New York. Broken Shadows is a remarkably balanced vehicle for performing Coleman's work, approaching it with fearless experimentation, deep grooves, and wicked humor.

Featuring Tim Berne on alto saxophone, Chris Speed on tenor saxophone, Reid Anderson on bass, and Dave King on drums.
