The undisputed crown jewel of the Fleetwood Mac catalog, Rumours has been certified an incredible 19 times platinum and is the sixth biggest-selling album of all time, with sales upward of 40 million copies worldwide. 1978's Grammy winner for Album Of The Year, it spent 31 weeks at No. 1 and delivered four Top 10 hits. Rumours has been certified double diamond for sales by the RIAA. 

The album was selected for preservation in the National Recording Registry in 2017 by the Library of Congress for being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant."

In 2004, Rumours was remastered and reissued, with the addition of the track "Silver Springs" and outtakes from the recording sessions.

The album includes the band's first No.1 smash, "Dreams," as well as the hits "The Chain," "Go Your Own Way," "You Make Loving Fun," and "Don't Stop."
