Cut at The Mastering Lab (TML-M, MCL in the deadwax) and pressed at QRP, it rivals my best 45 RPM titles for clarity and imaging. The soundstage is huge —wide, but even more impressively deep—and you can easily place every instrument. Surfaces are essentially dead silent, so the quiet, almost whispered passages float over a velvety black background. Transients on fiddle, dobro, and guitar are crisp without edge, and loud peaks stay smooth and effortless. At $80 this is reference-grade live bluegrass and an easy demo disc.
