Bobby Darin was a gifted one indeed. His legendary musical career broke wide open in the mid-1950s, followed with a plethora of hit recordings in the pop, rock, country and jazz vein. He utilized his short time on earth to share his talents with millions of fans with his records, songwriting, concerts, movies and television shows.

His fortunes carried further into the late fifties as he broke even more ground, creating one of the most beautiful spiritual crossover holiday hit albums of all time with his masterpiece The 25th Day Of December.

Featuring stellar Bobby Darin interpretations of inspirational favorites like definitive readings of "Holy Holy Holy," "Ave Maria" and "O Come All Ye Faithful," The 25th Day Of December was truly a groundbreaking album for this sorely missed artist. The 1959 holiday masterpiece finds the artist at the top of his game.

Produced by Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun and orchestrated by Bobby Scott, The 25th Day Of December is filled with beautifully arranged renditions of gospel classics like his hit versions of Go Tell It On The Mountain, Child Of God and the wonderful Silent Night, Holy Night.

This fine album has been out of print for decades, and it is Friday Music's honor to announce the first time 180-gram Audiophile Vinyl presentation of The 25th Day Of December by the legendary Bobby Darin on Friday Music. This limited edition audiophile masterpiece is now impeccably mastered by Joe Reagoso (Elvis Presley/Johnny Cash) from the original ATCO Records tapes and features the original LP artwork not seen in years.

Bobby Darin passed away in 1972 at the young age of 37. He left behind years of incredible recordings and memories that his millions of fans will enjoy for decades to come. His legacy continues further now with a revisit to one of the finest inspirational holiday albums of all time, The 25th Day Of December.
