Tommy Bolin was one of the first wave of guitar shredders, whose genius and instrument was of legendary proportions. His recordings with Zephyr, James Gang, Billy Cobham and Deep Purple show his guitar wizardry contributions, which have stood the test of time now for decades since his untimely passing at the age of 26.

His influence on today's rock musicians is overwhelming. Therefore, when Friday Music unearths and re-releases music from his personal stash of archived recordings, it's always a defining moment for the artist and his legion of fans.

In the early 1970s, Tommy Bolin assembled a tight configuration of talented players called Energy. There were a handful of studio recordings and some awesome live performances that were captured to tape, and Friday Music is pleased to announce the second installment of this incredible era with Energy II.

Remastered by Joe Reagoso (Tommy Bolin/Deep Purple/Billy Cobham) from the original Tommy Bolin Archives, and pressed for a very limited run on spectacular orange vinyl, Energy II will be one of the more important rock revisits this year.

Featuring a number of fine studio works such as "Dreamer" featuring the fine vocals of long time Bolin collaborator Jeff Cook, as well as rockers like "Eyes Of Blue" and "Limits", the album truly blasts off with the exciting 15 minute free form "Guitar Solo" recorded live with no overdubs.....just Tommy Bolin and Energy.....doin' their thing....
