Posted Monday, March 10, 2025 by Sckott I had to dig out my two other copies: an original cut from Atlantic US (specialty, Variant 1), the 2LP reissue Miles cut from Abbey Road, and this one. I don't have an Island copy. At first, I thought something was technically off on my end, but alas, some cuts on this album aren't as intense (LFR) as others. Silver, Blue & Gold has a low delivery of bottom end, while something like Sweet Little Sister is more. This 2LP, 45rpm has much better clarity than the other two in general.

Posted Monday, February 24, 2025 by Alex First off, this SACD sounds wonderful. Balanced, the drums smack you in the face, bass is tight and present, and the golden pipes of Paul Rodgers are front and center as they should be.

However, a big question is why the SACD release of Straight Shooter was sourced from a copy of the master tape, while the vinyl version was from the original master tape? Most of the Atlantic 75 series have the same source material from the vinyl and SACD. Would be very curious to know the answer to this question.

So far in this excellent Atlantic 75th series A Trick of the Tail is my favorite. However, this Genesis album does sound incredible. I have played the four sides through a few times now. Well Second Home by the Sea several :) Amazing. Sounds the best I have ever heard. So happy to have this in our collection.

If you have that there is no need for the Sacd Version. I think the Japan version sounds a lot better. The reason, No DSD was used to transfer it to cd.

Posted Sunday, December 8, 2024 by PGK This is the second time that this album has been issued on SACD. The first time was in 2011 in Japan and that SACD release was in mono.

AP has released this album on SACD in stereo so now we have the best of both worlds for those who prefer one version over the other.

IMO, the stereo version on AP is THE definitive version regardless of your channel preference.

Five stars for the music and five stars for this SACD reissue.

Posted Monday, November 11, 2024 by Wayne Just listening to the first track on the 45 RPM The Musical Box and all I can say is wow!, this cut sounds very warm sort of valve like and the definition of the instruments is tremendous!. Vocals are lovely it’s a total win for me and the transients are spot on!. And using a homage to the Charisma label is a lovely touch and so is thentextured outer heavy duty gatefold. This a must but I think it’s the best Genesis Atlantic 75 so far!. Please could you consider adding Yes Going for the One to the Atlantic 75 series , this Genesis is absolutely epic in every way. All I can say is well done and I’m delighted!! 10/10 for me.

Posted Tuesday, August 20, 2024 by Spike Out of all of the albums from the Atlantic 75 Series, 4 was the one I was most excited for, and, I must say, it did not disappoint. My father still has his original copy that he bought in 1981, which still sounds great to this day. However, this version from AP goes above and beyond in terms of sound quality. Lou's vocals are front and center on every track along with the band who hit on all cylinders. The attention to detail, especially with the individualized instruments, is just incredible. This is Foreigner's best album BAR NONE. Even if you're not a fan of the band, I highly...HIGHLY recommend you listen to this bad boy!!!

I have purchased most of Analoge Productions Atlantic 75th series releases and they all are amazing for $60.00. There has been one that was a disappointment, but all in all they are all home runs. The commitment to sound quality and quite vinyl is unparalleled, and as I have said before , how can Chad and the engineers get the vinyl to sound as good if not better than pressings costing twice what Analogue Productions charges. Really? How is this the case? Keep it up Analogue Productions, Chad, and Mastering engineers at QRP. THANK YOU. .

Then at some future date we revisit all those wonder records and it reminds us why we love this hobby so much. It all new again and it just feels right. The last few days I have been critical listening to the latest Acoustic Sounds Atlantic 75 series - INXS Kick and as you would expect it's high-quality audio / packaging. (Must say was not a big INXS Fan earlier in life - this release changed my stance on this Band) The INXS is next level with its 3D sound signatures and in your face appeal it is a sure winner. This will be on my table for a while as there is a lot to take in and enjoy.

I can honestly say I have never heard the clarity, depth and punch that this pressing provides. This is truly the end all copy for me . Exceeded my expectations.
