Posted Thursday, July 3, 2025 by Jimmy James My dad bought this album for me in NYC on a business trip in 1970 for my birthday. I was 11. Not sure I got the music but I thought it was pretty darn cool. Then this was the first CD I bought in 1983 when they came in blister packs and hung on a wall at the music store. CD was considered a novelty at that time but gear stores had to sell CD's to sell CD players. So I dug it again. One of the first SACD's I bought as well, a Sony release I believe. Still have it. This one deletes them all. Dynamics and detail in spades. Percussion instruments really come alive as well as the piercing highs of Carlos's guitar. Digging it all over again. Highly recommended.

Posted Sunday, February 16, 2025 by Tracy S I listen to this frequently. The songs are fairly short, and the lyrical content very good. The sound quality is better than the Folsom Prison SACD, but the context in which that album was recorded is perhaps more interesting.

Lots of detail that is not apparent in the original Capital pressing. A mint copy is costly, but worth it if you care about fidelity.
