A worthwhile upgrade for the serious listener

Posted Sunday, April 4, 2010 by Marcos At nearly $500, for many it would probably be a wiser investment to upgrade the speakers, but if you have your system close to where you want it, the Symposium platforms can be a substantial upgrade. Once you insert the Symposiums, you realize that the stands resonate with the speakers, especially when using Blutak, which welds them together as one. Freeing the speakers from the stand resonance yields more clarity in the mid and low bass and an overall more open sound. While lovers of standmounts prize them for their ability to dissappear, the Symposiums emphasize this quality even more. If you like your speakers, but wish for a bit less midbass thickness and more clarity, these could work well for you. If you are serious about optimizing the sound of your quality standmounts, the Symposium platforms are definitely worth investigating.

Posted Sunday, March 21, 2010 by jbrumley4201 My turntable is set up on a rock fireplace and I would get a good amount of vibration feedback from my subwoofer and speakers, once I installed these underneath I do not notice any vibrations in my cartridge. I can jump up and down right next to my table and it doesn't even phase it. If you have wood floors or elevated floors, this is a must have.

Noticeable improvement on top end detail and top mid, and some minor improvement on bottom end. At least on my system, (Musical Fidelity A5 integrated and MF A5 CD with Elipson Signature 205 speakers) the improvement from Vibrapods were more significant than a cable upgrade that costed me US 750,00. Best value for money tweak.
