Posted Thursday, October 8, 2026 by Mark I hope this SACD re-issue is better than the fantasy label re-issue. I have a pretty good idea it will be.

Excellent Pressing

5 Stars
Posted Wednesday, October 7, 2026 by Mike Don't hesitate and purchase this pressing version before this one sells out like the other versions! This is a excellent Pressing and for this price it's a steal! No background noise and very detailed and wide sound stage as well. This can easily cost as twice as much, as excellent as it sounds through my Focal Kanta 2 speakers.

Great SACD

5 Stars
Posted Tuesday, October 6, 2026 by PJG I ordered this SACD directly from Japan when it was released. Johnny Hartman is my favorite crooner, beating Sinatra by a mile! Sonically this is a very good album. It was recorded by the (great) Rudy Van Gelder. The only quibble that I have is the left / center / right Musical tones and timber are well represented. soundstage

George Benson - Giblet Gravy

Excellent in every way

5 Stars
Posted Tuesday, October 6, 2026 by Anonymous First, I really appreciate George Benson- have several albums from him. This one is spectacular: pressing is flawless/v heavy flat as pancake, no jacket issues- can’t be happier tbh! The dynamic range of this is incredible! You can turn it up and it will not bite! Highly recommended! Might need to get another copy (for $28 it’s more than a great deal).

Good Music. Challenged Acoustics

4 Stars
Posted Thursday, September 24, 2026 by Bob So, first off, really good selections of songs on this album. If I was putting together a beginning album inventory for a start up Classic Rock AM radio station I'd grab this release happily. However, for careful listening this one falls short. Sound quality is very good when just a single instrument or voice is playing. But when the whole band comes in everything gets mushed together and loses definition. My guess as a lay person is that, for commercial reasons, one too many songs were put on each side of the album. It may be that in order to squeeze everything onto the record, they squeezed/compressed the life out of the music.

Booming bass to shake your head

5 Stars
Posted Thursday, September 24, 2026 by HawkeyeSchmawkeye I'm from Birmingham in the UK. UB40 had a rep for being tough in the '70s, before they became syrupy and middle- aged. This record makes them sound positively Jamaican. The bass is a mile wide, and all else is in proportion. And such a clean pressing... ... incredible. I might buy a spare.

Societa Corelli - Vivaldi: The Four Seasons

Product No: AAPC 2424-45
Available: InStock
Category: 45 RPM Vinyl Record
Label: Analogue Productions (RCA Living Stereo)

Amazing

5 Stars
Posted Wednesday, September 23, 2026 by Barry It is DEAD quiet vinyl (almost no surface noise whatsoever all 4 sides) I have never heard Four Seasons feel so alive or vibrant. Of course credit should be given to the performance itself. It may be a cliche thing for audiophiles to say "it feels like the music is being performed live the room" but it holds true with this release. Great work AP.

Coleman Hawkins - The Hawk Relaxes

Incredible sound and CD-like noise floor

5 Stars
Posted Saturday, September 19, 2026 by Marc This is simply one of the best-sounding albums in my collection. I wish every lp could be this quiet. Most all QRP releases are quiet but the noise floor on this one is so low it might as well not exist.

Wes Montgomery - Full House

Product No: AAPJ 214-45

Category: 45 RPM Vinyl Record
Label: Analogue Productions

Best version I've heard of this live performance

5 Stars
Posted Friday, September 18, 2026 by Sal I first heard this record as a CD in the late 90s. Loved it, but it sounded midrange-y, dry. I always thought it was just a bad recording. This 45 is wonderful. Clear separation of instruments, especially the double bass, which features prominently compared to the other releases where it sounded jumbled into the mix. The gatefold is nice too, featuring photos by Jim Marshall of Wes,.

Worth a purchase

4 Stars
Posted Wednesday, September 16, 2026 by Anonymous Different takes of classic Aretha songs. It is worth it allow for the unedited and complete Chain of Fools with the full lead in. Once you hear it this way you can’t go back to the butcher job that is on the album and single the we are all familiar with. Worth a purchase especially now that it is one sale.
