Peter Frampton — Carry The Light

Limited edition 180-gram yellow colored vinyl

Carry the Light is Peter Frampton's latest album, marking his first collection of all-new rock material in 16 years. Co-written and co-produced with his son Julian Frampton, it features high-profile guest appearances from artists such as Sheryl Crow, H.E.R., and Tom Morello.

Peter Frampton is a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, a guitar god, hit song writer and a kind human being. In 2014, Frampton was diagnosed with Inclusion Body Myositis (IBM), a rare, degenerative muscle disease. He was ready to retire after a farewell tour in 2019. Then he realized, he wants to keep going until he can't.

"Julian and I started writing songs for the album before 16 years ago. He came and visited and said "Why don't we finish this song of mine cuz I'm having a bit of a problem," Frampton said in a recent interview. "And then, guess what? We finished them all. And I just realized what he was ... in this room where I'm sitting is basically where we did all the overdubbing and guitar solos and all that stuff and vocals. I just said 'Look, you're impressing me so much with your production and your ideas. You're a producer.' And it was just 'bingo.' And coupled with Chuck Anley, my favorite engineer in the country and the world, the three of us co-produced Carry The Light."
