"This album continues my collaboration with Roberto Delgado and Orchestra. Once again, the group's virtuosity and versatility is wonderfully displayed through the different musical formats it presents: two trumpets, three trombones, Orchestra and Big Band sounds. All the songs are my compositions, originals ('Fotografias,' 'Emigrantes,' 'Hoy por ti'), my interpretation of songs I wrote for others to sing, 'Senor Botanico,' (1976, Ismael Miranda), 'La Barricada,' (1975 Johnny Kenton), 'La Belleza del Son' (Bobby Valentin, 1977), and a re-recording of 'Eso es Amar,' a song I did with Ray Barreto (1975, Barreto). As a bonus I've added 'El Panquelero,' (Abelardo Barroso, composer), sung by my alter-ego, Medoro Madera." — Ruben Blades
