To honor the incredible legacy of musician Celia Cruz on what would have been her 99th birthday, Universal Music is presenting the 25th Anniversary 2LP version of Celia Cruz and Friends: A Night of Salsa! This special edition vinyl is a tribute to one of the most memorable moments in salsa music history and a celebration of Celia's powerful influence on Latin music.

Recorded live on May 12, 1999, during a concert in Hartford, Connecticut, A Night of Salsa brought together some of the most iconic names in salsa. Alongside the Queen of Salsa herself, the event featured legendary musicians such as Johnny Pacheco, Tito Puente, and La India. The concert was broadcast by PBS, allowing audiences across the country to experience the electrifying performances. The album went on to peak at No. 12 on the Billboard Tropical Albums chart and received a Latin Grammy Award for Best Salsa Album, in addition to being nominated for Tropical Album of the Year at the 2001 Lo Nuestro Awards.
