AudioNautes proudly offers this one-step limited edition version of Jazz At The Pawnshop, featuring the program as a 4LP 45 RPM recording. One of the most famous audiophile cult recordings, Jazz at the Pawnshop is widely regarded as a reference recording, one of the most natural-sounding live jazz reproductions of all time.

Jazz At The Pawnshop originated with recording engineer Gert Palmcrantz, who was loading his car with recording equipment outside Europa Film Studios in Stockholm, Sweden on December 6, 1976. No one really knew then that it was to become a cult recording among audiophiles and one of the most famous and respected jazz recordings ever made.

Best Ever? posted on 06/22/2024 5 Stars Reviewer: Tubey Maguire I already owned several versions of this album, but when I saw that this was going to be available as a One Step 45rpm version, I knew I'd probably need to try this out. Regardless of your opinion of the music (I happen to love the performances of these classic songs), there is absolutely no denying that the recording itself is a stereo masterpiece. This newest version from AudioNautes is the best it has ever sounded and is easily one of the best sounding records I've ever heard. The drums and cymbals are so real sounding. The sound stage of the piano and vibes is wide and the stereo imaging is PERFECT. The numbered box and packaging is lovely as well. If you are a fan of this album or are looking for a record to show off your system, you need this.

A live experience. posted on 06/19/2024 5 Stars Reviewer: Martin I received my copy in perfect condition, and it sounds amazing. Perfectly flat records and you really feel like you were there at Jazzclub Stampen ( The Pawnshop ) that December evening in 1976. The box itself looks nice, but not UHQR standard. I doubt it will stand time well, but it looks good now.

Labels are perfectly centered. Vinyl is absolutely quiet. One hears the distinct separation of the instruments, as well as the palpable excitement of the audience. Sonics provide an appreciable improvement over the recent 2XHD 33 1/3 edition, in which the horns and drums are more forward, while the piano and vibes recede during the group passages. AudioNautes 45rpm edition balances the five instruments, more effectively presenting the music as an ensemble effort. -- Downside is the unsturdy exterior design, which is unlikely to withstand the test of time in remaining free of dings and dents. In contrast to the exemplary housing of the AP UHQRs and Impex 1-Steps, the dedication to the exterior housing simply does not reflect the same level of devotion to the meticulous crafting of the vinyl. Nevertheless, it's all about the sound. Only 989 pressings. You'll be thrilled to have one!
