Analogue Productions (Atlantic 75 Series)

Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of Atlantic Records!

Yes' breakthrough album!

Includes hit singles "Roundabout" and "Long Distance Runaround"

180-gram 45 RPM double LP

Mastered by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio from the original master tape

Pressed at Quality Record Pressings

Tip-on old style gatefold double pocket jacket by Stoughton Printing

"It is better than the original pressing. The original pressing of this album is phenomenal. But this is absolutely something else. It's every bit as good as (Genesis) 'A Trick of the Tail' which also wipes the floor with the original. ... For the ultimate listening experience, there's no question that this is the one. It's stunning." — Dave Denyer, YouTube video

"What Kevin Gray has done here is draw on his extensive experience with cutting this album, preserve the balance and overall timbral quality that made the 2016 cut excel, and take advantage of the space that the 45 format provides. ... In my opinion this is a must-have for fans of this progressive rock masterpiece. ... For listeners who want the ultimate in detail, clarity, and resolution, this is a solid recommendation." — Scott Wilson, Audiophila, Jan. 27, 2024. Read the whole review here.

"The winner clearly is the Analogue Productions Atlantic 75, the 2x45 by Kevin Gray at a 9.6 rating ... if you really like this album 'Fragile' and want to hear the definitive version, you're going to be paying for the Analogue Productions version because if you can live with the 45 RPM, it's going to give you the best." — David Bianco, Safe & Sound Texas Audio Excursion, YouTube video

"One of the most anticipated titles in the whole Atlantic 75 Series." — Michael Ludwigs, 45 RPM Audiophile, YouTube video

"You won't hear an increase in tonality so much as increases in power, dynamics, base is about the same ... but you get that openness and clarity that the 45 brings to the table. ... When you take all these things into consideration, yes you need another copy of 'Fragile.' I hate to say that (chuckle) but it's true. ... I think they did exactly what needed to be be done and bringing this to life in the best way possible without going overboard on bass, on treble, just opening it up, lowering the distortion and giving us a beautiful rendition of what's on this tape. ... I really think that the Atlantic 75 series release is the definitive copy, it really improves upon the strengths of the 2016 (version)." — Scott Wilson, The Pressing Matters, YouTube video

Fragile was Yes' breakthrough album, propelling them in a matter of weeks from a cult act to an international phenomenon. Not coincidentally, it also marked the point where all of the elements of the music (and more) that would define the group's success for more than a decade fell into place fully formed, writes AllMusic, giving Fragile a 5-Star rating.

Propelled by the timeless hit "Roundabout," Yes' fourth album, Fragile, became an instant classic and is undoubtedly one of prog-rock's finest moments. It was the first Yes record to feature Rick Wakeman on keyboards and the first to display the inimitable artwork of Roger Dean. Here's the ultimate way to enjoy one of Yes's most popular and enjoyable albums.

This Analogue Productions (Atlantic Series) reissue of Fragile is a standout for your collection. First, we turned to Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio to cut lacquers from the original master tape. Pressing on 180-gram vinyl is by Quality Record Pressings, and the album is housed in a tip-on old style gatefold double pocket jacket by Stoughton Printing.

I have the MoFi One Step of this which is excellent. This pressing is probably the best I've heard. One of my favorite LPs for sure.

Amazing and so worth it….

Silent background and crystal clarity/detail. Dynamics and soundstage are great. As always, the short sides are annoying with 45rpm.

Really good

"Fragile" In some respects, its better than the SACD, I hope they can do "Relayer" also, that would be a nice add on to the subscription.

...indeed a 5-star release here

...as the other listeners have already said, this is an amazing pressing of FRAGILE. I own an original UK pressing, an early CD pressing and an SACD of this album. I can say this 75th Anniversary Edition has brought out details not heard in my other copies. I would highly recommend this title before it's out-of-print, it's really that good. I'd also give a shout out to Chad for making sure the original insert/booklet is included with this release as the original pressing had...very classy!

Easily The Best Edition Of Fragile

Whilst all the Atlantic 75 albums I have purchased sound great, the release with the biggest WOW! factor was The Yes Album which hands down beat every other version I’ve owned.

However I think Fragile may have eclipsed that. Having owned copies of this album for nearly 50 years, I’ve never heard it sound so good. Steve Howe’s acoustic guitar sounds so natural, Bill Bruford’s drums are punchy and even the most subtle cymbal hits are audible, Chris Squire’s bass is warm & full and vocals (either Jon Anderson solo or multi-tracked with Chris & Steve) have wonderful timbre… put simply EVERYTHING sounds amazing.

Kevin Gray, Chad Kassem & his team have hit the ball way out of the park with this release.

Beautiful Pressing!

This sounds amazing! I have a few different pressings of Fragile, but this is the one now. Beautiful job. Anderson's voice in "Heart of the Sunrise" has never sounded as moving to me as it does on this pressing. Superb!

Just go for it!!

Yup. It's everything you could hope for---clear, authoritative and crisp. My pressing is outstanding in every way. Have you ever heard Bill Bruford play on Yes/Fragile? Until now, you really haven't!!

Life is short, go for this one and be happy you did.
