Celebrating the label's 40th anniversary, foné is releasing an equally special product: The first UHQCD of the foné catalog spanning the years 1983-2023, including a 16-page booklet.

The master is a transfer of the original analog master 30 ips 2-track 1/2-inch tape to digital PCM 16-bit/44.1 kHz.

To make Ultimate High Quality CDs (UHQCDs), Memory-Tech Corporation has adopted a completely new approach in the duplication process, starting from matrix where a photopolymer is used instead of traditional polycarbonate: photopolymers are liquid, but one of their characteristic properties is that they harden when exposed to light of certain wavelengths. They are in a liquid state are able to penetrate into the tiniest corners present on the matrix and exploiting this property you get a perfect replication of the sequence of pits representing the coding of the musical message.

This CD manufacturing method is inherently less amenable to mass production than conventional method but Memory-Tech Corporation has managed to develop a way to produce CDs (UHQCD) that do not require any special CD player and that it can be read using any existing Audio CD player.
