Otto Klemperer conducts the New Philharmonia Orchestra
This release includes recording sessions performed at Abbey Road Studios in London on March 28, 30 and 31, 1967. The recording includes most of the first day's sessions, when the orchestra and conductor were fresher and had a more spontaneous approach. This recording was made in preparation for a concert on April 4, 1967. Klemperer insisted on substituting Petrushka for Brahms' First Symphony in the program.
