Hokey Pokey, Richard and Linda's second album together, is a jollier release than its predecessor. Richard was a fan of Harry Lauder and Gracie Fields, and this inspiration can be seen in the Victorian style cover art, and audible on both the title track and "Georgie On A Spree." It is a mixture of darkly comical songs such as "Smiffy's Glass Eye" and the wearier tones of "I'll Regret It All In The Morning" and "A Heart Needs A Home." Songs such as "The Egypt Room" are more somber. 180-gram vinyl.
