Final / last-time pressing of this amazing set!

Creedence Clearwater Revival — Absolute Originals

Back in print on 180-gram 45 RPM!

Pressed at Quality Record Pressings (QRP)!

The choicest tracks from the seven-record CCR studio catalog!

Includes a bonus 45 RPM disc with selected wide stereo mixes

Mastered by Kevin Gray and Steve Hoffman from the original analog tapes

One of the most successful reissue box sets in the history of Analogue Productions, the can't-miss CCR Absolute Originals 180-gram 45 RPM Box Set, an eight-disc classic, is back in print! This set highlights the choicest tracks from each of these seven albums at 45 RPM. With so few songs on each side (some releases have only one song per side), your cartridge is going to track better and ultimately SING sweeter!

With the biggest hits from each record (packaged in replicas of the original jackets), you'll get in-depth liners by rock critic extraordinare Ben Fong-Torres of Rolling Stone fame, and photos by Baron Wolman and Didi Zill, both of whom were there to document CCR "back in the day." There is also an essay by Steve Hoffman, who along with Kevin Gray, remastered these gems at AcousTech Mastering. We've also included a bonus record that includes rare wide stereo mixes of "Bad Moon Rising" and "Proud Mary," cut at 45 of course.

These are, simply put, the best-sounding versions of these great songs that have appeared on vinyl. The hits are iconic: "Bad Moon Rising," "Proud Mary," "Down On The Corner," "Fortunate Son," "The Midnight Special," "I Heard It Through The Grapevine," "Run Through The Jungle," "Green River," "Have You Ever Seen The Rain" and more!

Read what reviewers have said about the previous incarnation of this acclaimed box set!

"...Now comes Absolute Originals...the sonic results are so damn wonderful...everything is that much more immediate: dynamics are more explosive, textures more complex, there's tons of energy but everything is warm and sassy, and Fogerty's vocal is more present and lifelike. What more could a hardcore fan want?" — Wayne Garcia, The Absolute Sound, August/September 2005, Issue 155

"The quality is outstanding both in terms of sound, pressing quality and packaging and not to be missed under any circumstances. For those who have yet to hear them, Kassem has ... in a box set, (issued) many of the greatest hits by Creedence Clearwater Revival on 45RPM...you just wouldn't believe what's in the grooves of these black gold records. Leave it to the collaborative efforts of Kassem/Gray/Hoffman to offer up something very special. A tip of the vinyl-loving hat gentleman." — Richard Foster, Hi-Fi+

And how about this endorsement of our hard-working graphic design staff?

"I own a few test pressings from Chad's original run of individual LP reissues, and I can vouch for their superb sound and clean surfaces — but what impressed me most was the high quality of the booklet that comes with the boxed version. Whoever was the art director of that project deserves a raise, and Chad deserves thanks for creating a package that exceeds our expectations rather than just tossing off some junky scan." — Art Dudley, Stereophile, August 2004

Just by opening this Box you get exited of what will come next. And there they are, eight heavy vinyl 45 RPM disks with (in many cases) just one track per side. The question is automatically asked: Why just one song each side? Well it’s the same as asking why 45 rpm rather than 33. I am betting that 99% of the people reading this need no explanation – so I will not be giving one.

It’s Sunday morning, a beautiful sunny day. Taking my time and placing the first disk on my LP12, I set the rpm’s correctly and lower the arm. Suddenly, my speakers start traveling me back when Suzy Q was announced for the first time over the radio waves although I never experienced the actual event. I could write several columns describing the sound quality etc, but I would like to keep it simple. Sometimes, the report can be explained in just a simple sentence. Listening to the discs, gave me a smile on my face and a happy sensation! For sure, following a hard 5 day week, this is the reward to look for!

who knew, that CCR sounded so good !!!

My system ; Rega P3-24 with a Dynavector-Karat > Jolida JD9 using vintage Telefunken 12AX7s valves, my main amp is an Hafler 9505 transnova, monitors are the JBL 4410-A with a complete modification of the crossovers using Solen quick caps, a 12" JBL powered sub to bring in the bottom. I believe this is pertinent info as to the ability to critique such a treasured recording. upon the very first listen I was amazed at the clarity and depth, the soundstage just filled the room. Fogerty's voice is just astounding. I have never heard these recording sound so good ! Thanks Kevin , Steve & Chad keep e'm coming !

I used to think that SACD remasters were great until I heard these. Highly recommended.

The Project Deserves an A++

Chad and his colleagues at Acoustic Sounds certainly deserve an A++ for this magnificent project. First, the sound quality is extraordinary. For example, in listening to the songs, I have never heard a recording which captured the level of detail which so clearly enunciated a tube guitar amp miked in a room. The guitar rang clearly with the warmth of the tube amp, while the room ambience added space and warmth, and all these facets were captured within the recording....just awesome. Of course the vocals and other instruments had a natural presence which struck a level of realism this listener has not enjoyed before. I am slowly working my way though the set, and savoring each disc. Finally, this box set has the MOST gorgeous, deluxe packaging I've ever seen.

Chad and his talented team are artists in their own right for creating this set, and it simply resonates the wondrous music created by Creedence so long ago now, but now, brought so clearly to life.
