I had listen to this a dozen times already and the sound and vinyl pressing is phenomenal.Great job Kansas, and also the talented people that mastered and pressed the album.

I usually shy away from colored vinyl but this pressing from RTI is excellent. My first Friday Records album and this one is a winner. Great SQ.

Santana and Mclaughin are geniuses in how this album was made. Instrumentally talented and a great John Coltrane kinda tribute on two songs

This is the version of REO Speedwagon that I liked...before they emerged as a pop-music machine with "Hi Infidelity," they were a harder-rocking Midwest band. I remember listening to this as a kid in the 70s (on 8-Track!); the sequence I remember best (side 3 here) includes "157 Riverside Avenue" and "Ridin' the Storm Out." The album has never sounded better than here (maybe that's at least partially because I'm comparing a high-end system to 8-track memories!) . Great blue vinyl pressing, dead quiet. This is lots of fun if you have memories of this album.

Compared with the Columbia original pressing, the sound is dull and compressed and lack of presence.

This blows away the original! Quiet vinyl, detailed, great bass response, so three dimensional. If you don't have this copy, get it. You won't be disappointed. Friday Music does it again. I have almost every Friday Music album and I have never been disappointed. I don't know why people say some bad things about their pressings. Maybe their cleaning process and system just don't do these pressings justice. Every one I've bought has blown away my original pressings.

I have deep love for this record. Saw Santana at U.C. Davis touring this record. Wore out my original copy. Glad I did. This is an outstanding mix of an already fine recording. Does not get any better.

A strange album to say the least, The music is outstanding, the sound is like it has a layer of cloud over it. It´s ony in song "Harbor Lights" that it sounds very good. It´s well worth to buy the album just to to experience how it suddenly comes to life in this one song, a pity because the music, as everything Scaggs does, is good. It´s like they had another producer in this one song!

I liked this for nostalgic reasons. Its not the best record they ever made but it was a step in the right direction for them. They almost had the sound that made them famous here.
