Nice audio, packaging omits much.

The audio and pressing on this release seem very nice, if a bit bass-heavy at times. Very quiet pressing. I have a 1970's-period United Artists release of this, which replaced my 1968 copy, which had worn out. Remastering reveals that the vocal distortion on "40,000 Headmen" is on the master tape.
"Friday is also including a very rare gatefold cover, which includes the original gatefold photo of Dave Mason, Stevie Winwood, Chris Wood and Jim Capaldi, for the first time in North America since its 1968 release!": this is just not true. Both my copies had 12-page bound-in album-sized booklets which included many large photos, complete songwriting credits, all lyrics, and complete notes on who played what (even listing who DIDN'T play) on each song. The Friday release omits all of this except the final two pages, which comprise a photo and liner notes. Graphic reproduction is less than great, with garish color overall and the maroon on the back cover replaced with hot red for some reason.
