Posted Friday, July 16, 2021 by Anonymous These Elektra releases are excellent! Just like Hotel California and the Eagles Greatest Hits 71-75, The Long Run is an excellent recording and pressing. The vinyl is flat and very quiet, no noise, clicks or pops. The music is very dynamic and engaging and I cannot imagine it sounding any better than this. Great songs! If you're an Eagles fan I highly recommend that you pick this one up!

Posted Tuesday, July 10, 2018 by Ken Thought long and hard about buying an album from the Electra label but took the leap since my original lp from 1974 has long since seen it’s better days. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised how well the record sounded. A little bit of noise in between tracks on a couple of numbers but no noise what so ever in any of the songs. This album and their first one are the best of their recorded output and Don Felders slide was a really nice addition to their sound here.

I still have the original Greatest Hits LP mastered by Doug Sax and it is way better than this remastered copy. The vocal richness of Linda's voice has been drastically diluted and her voice is now blending in with the music in the background. Instead of sounding like analog, the album now sounds like a CD copy! What an absolute disastrous remastering effort!

worried a bit when i received it because it had a Rhino Records label on the shrinkwrap. I´ve had trouble with rhino records before, but this one turned out wonderful.
