Posted Sunday, May 29, 2011 by Anonymous This is quite an expensive tool, but if you own a reasonable turntable and cartridge you absolutely need this tool. I believed that my set up was accurate but found that is was actually out using this tool. I'd say it was only 1mm out but hey what a difference. Cartridges are sensitive to being accurately set up and this tool makes it so much easier. Everyone who is serious about vinyl should have one.

Posted Sunday, December 6, 2009 by Al At first looks complicated, however, after you figure out the screw driver is to open the battery compartments, it is very, very easy to use and accurate. Place it on the table, turn it on, it self adjusts to zero, and place stylus on the "dot" (very important as you will get different readings if not on the center of the dot). Fast, easy, and accurate.

I previously used the "sure" mechanical, it this puts the sure at .05 grams too high. So the only consideration is the price difference.

The unfortunate thing that you may also realize, is that you may need a new turntable also... This protractor is absolutely essential to realize the full potential of any cartridge. Simple to use, and the results can be really astounding. Hear what you've been missing.

Posted Friday, February 1, 2008 by Anonymous Made a major difference in the inner groove tracking on my Denon DP-37F turntable and the cartridge wasn't off by very much. Recommended as a good double checking of the alignment if nothing else.

Posted Wednesday, March 21, 2007 by Lonnie Used it on my Pro-ject 6.1 and Clearaudio Emotion . Directions could be a little better as it's a bit confusing at first. Once I figured out what all the different lines were for (Overhang) it was fairly easy to use. Installed a Sumiko Blackbird on my new Emotion turn table and it sounds great.
