Posted Sunday, January 25, 2026 by Randy This boxed set includes 3 releases of albums currently available (Cookin', Relaxin', and Steamin' - all are 2022 releases pressed at QRP).

The release of Miles appears to use the same plate as the recently released Craft Recordings versions of these albums, which is mastered by Kevin Gray (CR00722-A 43626.1(3)... KPG@CA). The only difference between the AP release and the Craft release appears to be pressing plant. However, the only proof I have is the rice paper QRP sleeve and a statement on the AS website. The jacket appears to be the same as the 1996 AP release of this title.

The release of Workin' appears to be different than the Craft Recordings release from a couple years ago. However, like the Craft release of the same title, Kevin Gray is the mastering engineer on this release. The jacket appears to be the same as the 1996 AP release of this title.

Posted Thursday, December 7, 2023 by Anonymous I have never had a first press of this record. My only copy is the Blue Note Classic which I love and have played often over the last couple of years. As good and AAA as the Blue note classic is, this One Step is better to my ear. Warm and engaging. Better bass definition. Nice sizzle on the top end. The piano is also more defined and all the instruments have a little more space. I purchased because I am a completist and it’s one of my favorite albums. Very happy with the purchase!!

Most of us think of Nat's music by virtue of his lifelong, highly productive association with Capital Records. That Association yielded many, many fantastic LP's and singles that form a part of our musical heritage (and several of those Capital releases have been superbly done by Analog Productions, by the way). His entire "pre Capitol" career is captured within this box set. Incredibly rare and hard to find music, skillfully captured by the best in the business and pressed by RTI. Obviously done with the love and affection it deserves. Hand numbered from an addition of 3000. This is a home run.

Not what I expected

To recalibrate my hearing, I played my Classic Records copy of Kind Of Blue and it immediately reminded of how great this record can sound.I don't wan't to sound negative or cynical but if MOFI can't keep up with Analogue Productions and Music Matters they need to quit waving that Original Master Recording banner around.

Well, I listened to this and immediately cued up the records to go again . Something I think I'll be doing for a bit here. Dead quiet vinyl and great sound considering the vintage. Extremely well done.
