Booming bass to shake your head

5 Stars
Posted Thursday, September 24, 2026 by HawkeyeSchmawkeye I'm from Birmingham in the UK. UB40 had a rep for being tough in the '70s, before they became syrupy and middle- aged. This record makes them sound positively Jamaican. The bass is a mile wide, and all else is in proportion. And such a clean pressing... ... incredible. I might buy a spare.

Posted Sunday, September 6, 2026 by Gsal The depth and soundstage of this recording is stunningly beautiful. You are center stage with the Vienna Philharmonic! There is a liveliness and texture to the strings that is engaging.

Posted Tuesday, September 1, 2026 by Anonymous I have loved this album since it came out in 1993 I believe. This is one of those title where have to ask why has someone not reissued this title. For a digital master this sounds great. The steely Dan duo are together on this album and it sounds like it. All the tracks are great. This is a must buy. Kudos to Mofi for not only the sound quality, but for choosing this title. Now if we could get an sacd of the cars CandyO and a Supertramp crime of the century. There are some great titles that deserve a top notch sacd reissue. Do not hesitate to pick up Fagens best solo effort. The sound quality is so much better than that 1993 early digital sound.

Great but not the best pressing sadly

4 Stars
Posted Saturday, August 8, 2026 by Scott N. The music, performance and overall sound quality is fantastic. But I had to return the first shipment due to tons of clicks during the quiet passages. My 2nd copy contains about 30 seconds worth of clicks at the end of the first side as well but not as annoying as the first (I can live with it). But "Optimal" should think about changing their name to "Sub-optimal".

Completes The Alan Parsons Trifecta!!

5 Stars
Posted Wednesday, April 22, 2026 by Larry H. As a fan of the Alan Parsons Project, I purchased all three of the recent 45rpm releases and couldn't be more pleased! This title has a diverse range of tracks that are appealing in different ways. Everything from excellent vocals to guitar leads, bass leads, instrumentals, great sax, and orchestral horns are distinct. Crystal- clear separation and a real listening pleasure! Flat, quiet vinyl housed in a quality, gate-fold jacket. All three titles are welcome additions to my collection!

Excellent Remastering of a Classic!

5 Stars
Posted Friday, April 10, 2026 by Larry H. If you take an Alan Parsons Project classic, half-speed master it at 45rpm and press it on two discs of 180g vinyl, you get pure pleasure for fans of their music! After receiving this edition in the usual perfect condition we've come to expect from Acoustic Sounds, both discs were played in their entirety. The vinyl is flat, without a ripple, quiet without an unwanted sound and delivered the best version of these tracks I've ever heard! I'm really pleased with the new APP releases and glad I made the decision to buy all three at once! Get 'em before they're gone!!

Worth the Wait!!

5 Stars
Posted Friday, April 10, 2026 by Larry H. I purchased the original in 1980, a 180g version later and finally a CD release. I always thought this was an amazing album and over the last several years, wanted a 45rpm version. Now I have one that is half-speed mastered too! This release is excellent in every way and is on a totally different level than the previous. Perfectly quiet playback, amazing separation on all tracks and archive quality packaging! I listened to both discs in one sitting and was ecstatic! Getting in early and snagging a numbered copy with the Obi strip was icing on the cake! Thank you AC for another great offering!

The best of music on the planet

5 Stars
Posted Saturday, March 14, 2026 by Anthony Nguyen Wow, simply magnificent ! This is the finest product I have consistently enjoyed over the past several decades. The packaging features a high-quality cardboard sleeve, the discs bear laser-etched labels, and the sound is incredibly vivid and true-to-life. This is, without a doubt, the best disc set currently available on the market. I highly recommend that fellow music enthusiasts invest in a set to truly savor the richness of analog audio. You will not be disappointed by the substantial cost, as I believe this collection is built to last and will provide years of listening pleasure. I give a 5-star rating to this superb product from Audio Nautes and a special thank you to Fabio Camorani.

A Modern Work of Art!

5 Stars
Posted Monday, January 12, 2026 by CliffC This is so refreshing, a newly released album available on SACD, No waiting 25 years to hear superb modern jazz. Why don't more labels release new music on SACD? Whatever, this album is 5 stars all the way. John is a guitar master and his music is quite varied. I could not find a site to preview this album (not on Qobuz or YouTube anyway) so I didn't really know what to expect. I am NOT disappointed. As a modern jazz fan I can find nothing to say other than listen to this album, it will make you smile, tap your foot and finally get up and dance Better still, the song The Beat Goes On throws in a heaping dollop of Blues Rock to get the energy level up a couple of notches.

Posted Thursday, January 1, 2026 by greg not a 45rpm, but wow.. this LP sounds amazing. My mac c2800 is usually set to +1 for bass but there is plenty of it on these 2 albums. i turned the bass down to zero. very quiet vinyl, low noise floor as some vinyl has. very very quiet. the 2nd lp is demo versions of his songs. very nice change and sounds just as good as the main LP. happy.

2nd listen.. BETTER!, FIrst too many snaps, crackles and pops..

4 Stars
Posted Thursday, December 18, 2025 by greg EDIT OF REVIEW.. noticed after each side, a LOT of gunk was built up on my Sumiko Starling cart ($2k cartridge) and had cleaned off after each side. Today i said "lets listen for the 2nd time" and it WAS BETTER. the quieter tracks with her voice, and guitar were much better. Lovely sound WITHOUT so many "snap-carackles-pops". Gonna keep it. FIRST REVIEW: great sound on this white vinyl double album, made in Germany (usually had good luck with Germany lps), WHEN it's not a quiet passage, or between tracks. Thought maybe it was first few tracks. then maybe first side, then maybe the 2nd lp would be better. nope. Great soundstage, imaging, overall mastering was nice, but the incessant pops and crackles make it sound like the vinyl was 30 years old, having been slid in and out of paper sleeves, every day. Gonna send back and may try the black vinyl.
