Harold Farberman - All Star Percussion Ensemble Product No: AANR 2510
Available: BackOrdered
Category: 45 RPM Vinyl Record
Label: AudioNautes Recordings

One of the finest vinyl records ever made.

5 Stars
Posted Wednesday, February 4, 2026 by Anonymous This 45RPM is absolutely incredible in every respect. If there were such a thing as perfect vinyl, this release would certainly qualify. It delivers what I'm sure is a second to none for vinyl, Roon DR of 21! Surpassing its equally stupendous UHQCD version's DR of 20. Extraordinary and legendary musical composition delivered in equal measure by vinyl at its utmost finest. AudioNautes should rightfully feel pride in in their work.

Boz Scaggs & Smooth Jazz?!? OH YEAH!

5 Stars
Posted Thursday, January 22, 2026 by Larry H. I've been a Boz fan since the 70's and received his latest release as a Christmas gift. To get to the point, it's excellent! If you like smooth jazz, dive in, the water's fine! Concord records did a fine job as the vinyl plays completely quiet with the vocals, piano, bass and drums all having a distinct space as you listen. A high-quality recording in my humble opinion and offered at a great price. If you've every enjoyed being in a dark jazz club listening to the best of music, I suggest you buy this! Boz Scaggs has delivered some of the finest music over the years and this is no exception!

A Modern Work of Art!

5 Stars
Posted Monday, January 12, 2026 by CliffC This is so refreshing, a newly released album available on SACD, No waiting 25 years to hear superb modern jazz. Why don't more labels release new music on SACD? Whatever, this album is 5 stars all the way. John is a guitar master and his music is quite varied. I could not find a site to preview this album (not on Qobuz or YouTube anyway) so I didn't really know what to expect. I am NOT disappointed. As a modern jazz fan I can find nothing to say other than listen to this album, it will make you smile, tap your foot and finally get up and dance Better still, the song The Beat Goes On throws in a heaping dollop of Blues Rock to get the energy level up a couple of notches.

very nice sound !

5 Stars
Posted Thursday, January 1, 2026 by greg not a 45rpm, but wow.. this LP sounds amazing. My mac c2800 is usually set to +1 for bass but there is plenty of it on these 2 albums. i turned the bass down to zero. very quiet vinyl, low noise floor as some vinyl has. very very quiet. the 2nd lp is demo versions of his songs. very nice change and sounds just as good as the main LP. happy.

Love this pressing !

5 Stars
Posted Wednesday, December 24, 2025 by Greg Just got it from A.S. a few days ago, glad I got it as it's already sold out again. Saw this as a good record to get in a YouTube video discussing good sounding records to get. Few bucks more for the yellow vinyl looks good, and very good mastering and pressing. Very quiet sound floor, almost zero pops and clicks in quiet passages and between tracks. Very nice, laid back country pop. Nice acoustic guitar and her voice is great

2nd listen.. BETTER!, FIrst too many snaps, crackles and pops..

4 Stars
Posted Thursday, December 18, 2025 by greg EDIT OF REVIEW.. noticed after each side, a LOT of gunk was built up on my Sumiko Starling cart ($2k cartridge) and had cleaned off after each side. Today i said "lets listen for the 2nd time" and it WAS BETTER. the quieter tracks with her voice, and guitar were much better. Lovely sound WITHOUT so many "snap-carackles-pops". Gonna keep it. FIRST REVIEW: great sound on this white vinyl double album, made in Germany (usually had good luck with Germany lps), WHEN it's not a quiet passage, or between tracks. Thought maybe it was first few tracks. then maybe first side, then maybe the 2nd lp would be better. nope. Great soundstage, imaging, overall mastering was nice, but the incessant pops and crackles make it sound like the vinyl was 30 years old, having been slid in and out of paper sleeves, every day. Gonna send back and may try the black vinyl.

Posted Tuesday, December 16, 2025 by greg cool funky jazz, didn't even realize it was live at first (even though says "live" on the lp cover) as i was spinning lots of recent lp's that just came in. very low noise floor, great pressing. One of if not my favorite Grant Green lp's. very happy with this pressing.

Incredible!

5 Stars
Posted Sunday, December 7, 2025 by Rick I've been a fan of JM since the early 70s, and this album adds another outstanding milestone to his illustrious career. This record takes you across many different musical genres, from jazz to fusion to ballad to funk and back again. Just when you think you've already heard the best song on the album, the next scene starts and you realize you were wrong. Yes, I am a huge fan of John McLaughlin, and this record makes me realize why!

Impex did a wonderful job with everything...the sound, the pressing, and the awesome album jacket. Bravo!!

Close to perfection

4 Stars
Posted Sunday, November 16, 2025 by Anonymous I know that it's a very old tape and was recorded on an early analogue multitracking system so this review should take in consideration with these circumstances. Crystal clear mids and heights (sometimes a bit too much fior me) also vocals and piano are perfect. But the bass is muddy in some places and the bass drum is lighter than it should be at the same time. Separation and soundstage is excellent. **** 1!2

Odd combo

4 Stars
Posted Thursday, September 11, 2025 by Jimmy James Great sounding DVD/DVD-A. Odd combo of musicians but it mostly works. Anything with Ray Brown is gonna be good. The mix favors Bud Shank and he is way too loud. A lot of space on this disc is occupied by Bud's horn so be prepared. Their take on Chick Corea's SPAIN is especially good and closes out the session.

Dio era Live Black Sabbath

4 Stars
Posted Thursday, September 4, 2025 by Jimmy James Interesting Dio era Black Sabbath Blu Ray Audio disc. Very good sound but the rear channel information is just crowd noise that sounds fake. Every now and again there is an echo or effect heard but not much. My AVR says that there is a Dolby Atmos, True Dolby Surround Sound and Stereo audio available. Yes Ronnie's vocals are punched up and his banter is tiring but the disc is still pretty good. Should have included video as there would have been no sound penalty and there may be a video version of this with a different title.

Not Great

2 Stars
Posted Tuesday, September 2, 2025 by Taylor A Ramsey I can't say I love this. The music is as good as ever but this cut is kind of a mess. Stick with your old CDs. Probably one of the quietest albums I have ever heard, you have to really turn it up to get things to open up. Doing that reveals the terrible noise floor and sibilance of this record. While this might be a concession to the dynamic range of this recording, I cant help but think there might be better ways to serve this music than to err on the side of very quiet. Everything about this record screams cheap. The cover has been scaled down to a basic sleeve omitting the old die cut one and there is another of these "we cut this on thin vinyl because it is better" notes on the inner sleeve. While heavier vinyl is not demonstrably better than heavy (this disc does not feel particularly flimsy though), if sound quality is the goal, spend your money on a better mastering job (is this even a new master?) and pressing. Between this and the horrid reissue of B

A bit different

3 Stars
Posted Monday, June 23, 2025 by Reggie I have listened to all these songs repeatedly as a youth. So I know exactly what each track should sound like from beginning to end. These are different, and for me, not in a good way. Maybe I have such fond memories of these songs, that any change would be unwelcome. I knew what I was buying. I took a chance. I lost. The songs still sound good. But as I said… different.
