There is plenty of air and space in the soundstage. The cymbals sound so natural. If you are a disappointed owner of the 2008 remix/masters then do yourself a huge favor and upgrade to the AP remasters of the Genesis titles now. I own them all. They are ALL amazing.

I cannot wait for the releases of "Wind and Wuthering" and "Duke". Please consider releasing "And Then There Were Three" too, please!

Posted Monday, December 29, 2025 by Jay G So, I did not buy this from acoustic sounds (bought directly from Ledisi lol). Thought it would be ok for me to speak on “for Dinah” as I have the record and well I’ve bought a lot of stuff from here also…lol.

With this being said…WOW this is an incredible recording! She has a wonderful flow with all the songs. The producer did a great job with excellent musical balance. I have to say I’ve listened to the record and the Hi Res audio version on Qobuz. I have to say the record just had so much more “soul” to it. The style music truly does work well with Vinyl.

I would not hesitate at all to recommend this recording! In fact, I emailed acoustic sound to see if they could create an SACD version! Especially if they can instill the warmth and musicality that I get from the Vinyl!

Saw this as a good record to get in a YouTube video discussing good sounding records to get. Few bucks more for the yellow vinyl looks good, and very good mastering and pressing. Very quiet sound floor, almost zero pops and clicks in quiet passages and between tracks. Very nice, laid back country pop. Nice acoustic guitar and her voice is great

Posted Thursday, December 18, 2025 by greg EDIT OF REVIEW.. noticed after each side, a LOT of gunk was built up on my Sumiko Starling cart ($2k cartridge) and had cleaned off after each side. Today i said "lets listen for the 2nd time" and it WAS BETTER. the quieter tracks with her voice, and guitar were much better. Lovely sound WITHOUT so many "snap-carackles-pops". Gonna keep it. FIRST REVIEW: great sound on this white vinyl double album, made in Germany (usually had good luck with Germany lps), WHEN it's not a quiet passage, or between tracks. Thought maybe it was first few tracks. then maybe first side, then maybe the 2nd lp would be better. nope. Great soundstage, imaging, overall mastering was nice, but the incessant pops and crackles make it sound like the vinyl was 30 years old, having been slid in and out of paper sleeves, every day. Gonna send back and may try the black vinyl.

One of if not my favorite Grant Green lp's. very happy with this pressing.

Crystal clear mids and heights (sometimes a bit too much fior me) also vocals and piano are perfect. But the bass is muddy in some places and the bass drum is lighter than it should be at the same time. Separation and soundstage is excellent. **** 1!2

The mix favors Bud Shank and he is way too loud. A lot of space on this disc is occupied by Bud's horn so be prepared. Their take on Chick Corea's SPAIN is especially good and closes out the session.

Nuances are realized with definition beyond the original. It’s not as good as the best UHQR records. Nor is it fair to compare with the Atlantic 75 series. Acoustic Sounds issues are often the best. This recording is a little compressed, with not as much ‘air’ as the original. However, the overall sound quality is very good and I’m happy with my purchase.

These are different, and for me, not in a good way. Maybe I have such fond memories of these songs, that any change would be unwelcome. I knew what I was buying. I took a chance. I lost. The songs still sound good. But as I said… different.
