Audionautes presents the reel-to-reel Jazz at the Pawnshop Vol. 2 Master Tape. Direct from the session tapes, it has nine tracks from December 6, 1976, the first of the two famous evenings at Sweden's Stampen jazz bar. The sound is still amazing, super dynamic, but a bit different from Vol.1
Jazz At The Pawnshop originated with recording engineer Gert Palmcrantz, who was loading his car with equipment outside Europa Film Studios in Stockholm, Sweden on December 6, 1976, only to make one of many recordings. No one really knew then that it was to become a cult recording among audiophiles and one of the most famous and respected jazz recordings ever made.
Tape 1 | Over The Rainbow | Gubben Och Kallingen | In A Mellow Tone | It Don't Mean A Thing | Tape 2 | Nancy With The Laughing Face | Hight Life (Take 2) | Poor Butterfly | Exactly Like You | Things Aint What They Used To Be |
