Compared to the blue vinyl 33, this 45 gives the listener more musical information and more of an immersive listening experience. There’s just more beauty in the presentation. The unique nasal textured voices blending, with guitar and mandolin harmonizing are a sonic delight with this AP treatment. It’s been some time since I spun this lp and was taken by surprise by the tune Funny Little Man. What a sweet, sonic, gem it is. Acoustic Folk Rock at its finest. Utilization of 180g vinyl and spreading the tracks across two LPs yields a more "open" quality to the music. I bought the CD back in 1989 and the sound was impeccable, but this release brings a richer separation and overall quality. No track is lacking in excellent soundstage. Tracks like "The End of the Innocence" and "New York Minute" seem to float through the room while those with a throaty, rock base dominate the air! This is a must-have! Get one!

Bought everything KWS released and had the pleasure of seeing him a couple of times at House of Blues! After announcing this vinyl release, I couldn't wait to get it! As expected, it is excellent! The new recordings are mixed perfectly with great separation and balance. KWS's guitar is the epitome of soul-deep blues and Noah Hunt's vocals are the compliment that makes it all mesmerizing. Every track is awesome to the ear! "While We Cry" and "Ledbetter Heights" gave me chills! Get a copy of this while you can!!

I always wanted this collection on vinyl and FINALLY got one thanks to being a customer of Acoustic Sounds. In my humble opinion, these two discs contain some of the best blues/music you'll ever hear. The vinyl plays quiet with no background noise anywhere! The recording/mixing is high-quality with awesome soundstage across the spectrum. B.B.'s "Lucille" sounds sharp as a razor and silky smooth! This title should be in the collection of all B.B. King fans! Go buy it while it's still in stock!!

Posted Sunday, June 7, 2026 by Bill I do not have another record to compare this to but compared to the CD it is worlds better. I would say it still sounds somewhat "modern" and compressed. Still sounds very good though and I believe this is the way it was recorded. It's got very extended highs but they do sound good. Lows are there as well. I am not the best reviewer but figured since no one else left a review I would. Please leave me a big tip.

Posted Friday, May 22, 2026 by Nathan T Thunder Road followed by Tenth Avenue Freeze Out might be the best 2 opening track album kick off in Rock and Roll History. Talk about making a statement. This album has always been in my top 15-20 albums of all time and I can't say enough about the quality of this SACD. I have the Classic Records LP and that one is sick but pretty pricey these days. If you have an SACD player this is a great way to get a mind blowing "hearing it for the first time" experience with this album.

My 1st U.S. Pressing sounds a tad congested...but this version is much improved. I've Got To Have You has so much impact! Highly recommend this title while it's still in print.
