Long time Billy Joel bandmate Mark Rivera has released his debut album Common Bond. The album’s title is a nod to staying true to your roots and the ties that bind. Mark has worked with Billy Joel for more than 30 years and with Ringo Starr for 18 years and both artists make guest appearances on Common Bond. Mark’s “band leaders” couldn’t be more enthusiastic.

“I LOVE Common Bond. It really rocks in a good old way – like we did back in the day. Your voice sounds great and the band kicks ass. I crank it up in the car,” Billy said from backstage at Madison Square Garden.

Backstage on the All-Starr Band’s Summer Tour, Ringo said in his trademark wit, “I’m only here to promote Mark Rivera….Mr. Showbiz himself!!”

Mark and producer Jimmy Bralower have assembled a stellar group of musicians to play on Common Bond.
