To compliment their Concept turntable, Clearaudio has introduced two affordable, high-performance cartridges, the Concept MM (Moving Magnet) and Concept MC (Moving Coil). Due to the unique "frictionless magnetic bearing" design of Concept's Verify tonearm, either cartridge is available factory pre-installed on the Concept turntable at a special package price.

The Concept MM features an aluminum body and is a high output moving magnet cartridge based on Clearaudio's popular Aurum Wood Classic mkII. Its sound is both musical and inviting, with classic moving magnet warmth and body.

Beautiful, clear sound!

This cart extracts a beautiful sound from my records! I just switched from an Ortofon 2M Red which is lovely also, but this cart provides a needed clarity in the vocals and instruments. I am still in the break-in period (3rd record through) but I can hear a noticeable clarity between the two carts. Where the 2M struggled with piano arrangements on Nina Simone's Little Girl Blue, this cart makes me feel like I am right next to the piano and Nina as she plays/sings. Having personally sung many times next to pianos, this cart allows the recording to come across more naturally. I am playing it on a Rega RP1 with Rega FONO pre-amp. Nice price also; cannot wait to play my Quality Record Pressings. Thanks Acoustic Sounds!

Beautifly engineered cartrige.Very easy to mount with a guaranteed tight fit and easy allignment. Sound is very smooth and detailed, As good as any cartridge including MC's.
