Eric Clapton - ICON

Eric Clapton — Icon

Limited edition translucent tan colored vinyl. Icon compiles key recordings from Eric Clapton's solo career, drawing primarily from his 1970s and early 1980s output as he moved between blues, rock, and radio-ready pop. Issued as part of Universal's Icon series, it offers a concise overview of Clapton's work following his tenure with Cream and Derek and the Dominos.

Tracks such as the reggae-inflected hit "I Shot the Sheriff" and the understated ballad "Wonderful Tonight" highlight his range as both interpreter and songwriter, while "Layla" appears in its later acoustic form, reflecting its second life as a staple of his live sets. Elsewhere, songs such as "Cocaine" and "Lay Down Sally" underscore his ability to balance groove-driven arrangements with a relaxed vocal delivery. Limited edition translucent tan colored vinyl.
