Pedersen is a strong and supportive accompanist who easily adds his own style in playing a singing and melodic bass, Raney is setting accents on his guitar and shows the work of a highly insensitive listener, and Baker creates his pictures that still escapes explanation. Shepp made a record called There Is a Trumpet in My Soul-Well. This Is Always sounds like that.
