From the opening notes of Baba O'Reilly, the quiet parts of Bargain with such depth and detail, the pure beauty of Song is Over, and seriously, the drums on Getting in Tune and Going Mobile..WOW! Shivers down my spine! With the detail of the acoustic guitar for the intro to Behind Blue Eyes, my eyes were close to weeping! And a terrific classic closing tune! Fantastic Clarity Vinyl! Sure we can all agree this is one of "The Who" great records and stands the test of time. Roger's / Pete's vocals are centered and the sound stage gives Pete, Keith and John nice instruments separation. Recorded levels on the UHQR is lower compared to other records. I noticed the increased levels on other records do come off as a little hot and bring in some slight distortion. Besides is you want to hear "Who's Next" at higher volume - simply turn this UHQR version up and enjoy the detail and clarity. You will not be disappointed.

I'm actually emotionally moved and I've only listened to this album 1000 times before. I leaped off the couch on Won't Get Fooled Again! The audiophile cliches about bass, imaging, etc... are all there of course, but Jesus, I'm blown away. I almost cried on Behind Blue Eyes and Song is Over. ?? I call this a BARGAIN, the best I ever had! ??++

I have pretty much every pressing of this album that has been considered the Best pressing, and this one beats them all soundly. Turn it up loud, kick back, and prepare to be amazed. I’ve always considered this the best Who album but now it’s easily in the top 10 for the best album of the rock era. Great musicianship, songwriting, arranging, production, and now best mastering and pressing. Yep, I like it…

1 LP instead of 2 posted on 08/26/2026 5 Stars Reviewer: Kevin Thank the Good Lord that Accoustic Sounds released this UHQR on 1 LP, just as the original. I stopped purchasing UHQR'S a long time ago when what should have been a single LP turned into 2 LP'S at 45 RPM. When Accoustic Sounds releases a single LP into 2 LP'S, you only get to hear 2 or 3 songs. Then you must stop your listening enjoyment to turn it over to side 2 to hear what was the remaining songs on side 1. It ruins the listening experience to have to listen to 2 or 3 songs then turn it over 4 times. I highly doubt most audiophile's could hear any difference between 33 1/3 versus 45 RPM if they were blindfolded.

From lost analog master tapes!? posted on 08/02/2026 5 Stars Great album and I hope it will be a great release. I wonder where did they got analog master tapes. According to open sources - The master tapes for the Olympic sessions are believed to be lost, as Virgin Records threw out a substantial number of old recordings when they purchased the studio in the 1980s. Maybe this is the third master copy or etc.
