Instrumentals have always been a part of Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives' repertoire, and so it only made sense to create an original song instrumental album.

This limited edition release features previously unreleased recordings, focusing on a celebrated aspect of Marty's longstanding recording career. "Dreamcatcher," the artwork for Space Junk, has been provided by Herb Alpert of Tijuana Brass and A&M Records fame.

"Space Junk is maybe the most fun we've ever had creating a record. It turned us back into teenagers, exploring the bounds of our instruments for the first time, and just having fun," Stuart says. "We thought the world needed a fresh instrumental album by a pretty good band, so we composed twenty instrumentals and took them to the microphones."
