The legendary bubblegum/pop superstars The Archies burst onto the music scene in the late 1960s with their much-revered classic singles "Sugar, Sugar" and "Bang-Shang-A-Lang" which forever changed the fortunes of this legendary cartoon bubblegum rock band.

The Archies were a one-of-a-kind studio creation of the late great Don Kirshner, who helped propel the careers of many including The Monkees, with his stellar barrage of studio greats such as lead vocalist Ron Dante (The Turtles/Cuff Links), Jeff Barry (superstar Producer/Songwriter) pop superstar Andy Kim, as well as more greats such as Toni Wine, Ellie Greenwich and Bobby Bloom (Montego Bay/The Monkees).

After a run of successful albums and top charting singles, Calendar Records honored this legendary act with the stellar greatest hits collection The Archies Greatest Hits.

The 1970 hits collection is loaded with a generous helping of their most popular hit singles like the No. 1 global smash "Sugar, Sugar" "Jingle Jangle" "Sunshine" and plus more classics like "Bang-Shang-A-Lang" and "Over and Over."

The Archies have been such a heralded entity in today's modern culture that you will continually hear their classics hits all over radio and movies.
