In support of their ongoing sustainability mission, the British rock band Coldplay have announced plans to reissue all of their albums as EcoRecords.

The new records will be clear, 140-gram discs made from recycled plastic bottles, and produced using an injection molding process which reduces carbon emissions during manufacture by 85% when measured against the traditional vinyl record production process.

According to Warner Music Group, each record contains plastic recovered from about nine recycled rPET plastic bottles as part of the post-consumer recycling, where the bottles are cleaned and processed into small pellets for resuse in industry and consumer purposes.

The decision to re-release the band's full catalog follows the launch of their 10th album, Moon Music, in 2024 as a 100% recycled PET EcoRecord.

Music Of The Spheres (subtitled Vol. 1: From Earth with Love) is Coldplay's ninth studio, released in October 2021. It features guest appearances from Selena Gomez, We Are King, Jacob Collier and BTS, as well as returning contributions from electronic producer Jon Hopkins. Music of the Spheres is the band's second concept album after 2011's Mylo Xyloto. The album explores pop, pop rock, space rock, space music and ambient influences. The album was nominated for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards, marking the band's third nomination in both categories. The album spawned the singles "Higher Power," ""My Universe," — a collaboration with South Korean pop group BTS, and "Let Somebody Go," a collaboration with singer Selena Gomez.
