Reissued on vinyl for the first time!

World Party — the near one-man-band from the much missed Karl Wallinger — issued a greatest hits called Best in Show back in 2007, to coincide with U.S. and Australian tours. The compilation was never released outside of those territories but that is soon to be corrected with an expanded reissue that also sees Best in Show issued on vinyl for the first time.

Karl, speaking to Super Deluxe Edition, said "Well I was told, ‘you gotta have a greatest hits, buddy'. So I rang someone up and asked them for the iTunes figures for downloads that week, and the running order is based entirely on that list! (laughs). Just put it on there and stick it out. Because I hate all those things, I don't know why." That reasoning is why the compilation was always so Goodbye Jumbo heavy, although the four bonus tracks added to the 2025 reissue offer some balance. They are "Everybody's Falling In Love" (an at the time new-ish song from 2012's Arkeology, and so its first time on vinyl), "Best Place I've Ever Been." This track appears to be only on the vinyl version (from the last studio album, 2002's Dumbing Up), "Always" from Egyptology (1997) and "Sunshine" from 1993's Bang! (First time on vinyl for Best in Show.)

Karl's manager confirmed to SDE that the audio has been remastered by Tim Young of Metropolis and the artwork has been enhanced by Richard Evans (of Hipgnosis fame).

To reiterate, this compilation has never been issued at all in in the U.K. and Europe and this is now the vinyl debut everywhere for Best in Show, which is pressed as a 2LP set on red and yellow vinyl for this reissue.
