The National have announced a new live album: Rome is out via 4AD. Recorded live in June 2024 at an architecturally stunning venue, Rome is the definitive live document of The National and serves not merely as a concert souvenir but the latest vital addition to the band's peerless catalog.

The National captured Rome (without overdubs) at their Monday, June 3, 2024, show at the Italian capital's Cavea at Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone. The album was mixed by Peter Katis.

The National were in tour in, in Italy and beyond, in support of their twin 2023 studio albums, First Two Pages of Frankenstein and Laugh Track. They're currently on the road with the War on Drugs for the Zen Diagram Tour.
