Celebrating the 150th anniversary of Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninov, Warner Classics has chosen the 100 best pieces from its rich catalog to highlight Rachmaninov's genius. Rachmaninov was inspired by the great romantics Chopin and Tchaikovsky, and his music was imbued with his inner torments and suffering from exile.

All the great works (symphonies, concertos, sacred choral music, chamber works, romances, solo piano) are represented in this collection, some complete, some as extracts. Performing artists include André Previn, Hélène Grimaud, Nikolai Lugansky, Simon Rattle, Gautier Capuçon, the Choir of King's College, Natalie Dessay, Martha Argerich, Alexandre Tharaud and many more.
