2024 reissue of the debut solo album by Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason

Nick Mason's Fictitious Sports is Nick's debut solo album and his first work outside of Pink Floyd. Originally released in 1981, it saw him collaborate with a variety of different musicians including Robert Wyatt and Carla Bley. The album was recorded in 1979 at a session booked in America where Nick, Carla and Robert were going to bring their ideas together, but ahead of the trip, Carla sent Nick a demo cassette. "It was very different from what she had done before and absolutely in line with what I like" commented Nick in 2012 ... and it went on to be the nucleous of the album.
