Bluegrass legend Del McCoury and his band return with Songs of Love and Life

Across his six decades of making classic albums, Del McCoury knows what he's looking for in a song.

"I like a challenge. I've always liked a challenge," McCoury says. "I like to learn different things. Doing the same things is mundane to me."

Three years after its last LP, the Del McCoury Band returns to take on the challenge with Songs of Love and Life. A glorious 15-song collection, the album follows 2021's celebrated, Grammy-nominated release, Almost Proud, and once again features McCoury touching down on a diverse set of tracks — vintage and contemporary — as he and his crackerjack band nod to icons Kenny Rogers, Roy Orbison, and Elvis Presley, as well as welcome next-generation talent, Molly Tuttle, to the party. Produced by McCoury and his son, Ronnie, Songs of Love and Life showcases one of the greatest storytellers in music, delivering another rousing assembly of absorbing, compelling, and unforgettable tales.
