To honor its 25th anniversary, Before These Crowded Streets by the Dave Matthews Band is being reissued by Legacy Recordings. The band's third album, it was originally released in the spring of 1998, receiving both critical and commercial success. Dethroning the Titanic soundtrack, which sat atop the Billboard 200 for 16 consecutive weeks, Before These Crowded Streets was certified triple-platinum and began the band's impressive streak of six No. 1 albums in a row.

The LA Times said: "On this album, the band places an even higher premium on musical proficiency. Songs such as 'Rapunzel' and 'The Stone' are built around vertiginous polyrhythms and serpentine riffs that dart around Matthew's clenched vocals, yet always manage to lock into an enjoyable groove."

Newly remastered, this album contains several tracks that band still perform in their live set to this day and this deluxe 2LP package comes in a gatefold jacket containing a photo booklet with rare photos.

Been waiting for this for years!!!! posted on 11/06/2023 5 Stars Reviewer: Adam Like a lot of people I’ve been waiting for this rerelease for years. Wasn’t willing to pay the crazy resell prices of the first press. Sounds as good as I had hoped for. The remaster is fantastic. Great wide soundstage. Great top end. Detailed midrange and punchy base. Hearing things you never could on the cd. So excited to to have it in the collection finally.
