The Bodyguard was the feature acting debut of Whitney Houston who co-produced the soundtrack consisting of six stellar performances from the artist along with additional material from Lisa Stansfield, Curtis Stigers, among others. Most famous for Whitney's stunning and powerful interpretation of "I Will Always Love You," penned by Dolly Parton, the track remained No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart for a record 14 weeks.

The movie was the highest grossing film in 1992 and the soundtrack went on to sell 45 Million copies worldwide and earned Whitney three Grammy Awards including Album of the Year and Record of the Year. The Whitney Houston biopic from Sony Pictures, "I Wanna Dance With Somebody," is slated to release on December 21 so timing for the release is pitch perfect.

The movie co-starred actor and Oscar-winning director Kevin Costner and was the second highest-grossing film of 1992 at more than $410 million. The soundtrack earned Whitney three Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year and Record of the Year, and swept numerous other awards shows.
