As New Order prepare for their live return at Manchester's Heaton Park on September 10, 2021 (after a warm up in Halifax on September 8), they release Be a Rebel Remixed on double clear 12" vinyl, bringing together all 11 remixes of the track on physical formats for the first time.

Be a Rebel was released in the midst of lockdown in 2020 with a message to celebrate ourselves and appreciate what we have, even in hard times. Although the original track release was planned to coincide with dates that were subsequently postponed, the band felt it important to share new music with fans and now, as they ready their live return, the full set of remixes from some the best producers and DJs on the planet is released.

The 12" includes the previously unreleased remixes from Belgium producer and synth enthusiast Melawati — who records for Maceo Plex's label — and Berlin based modular synthesist JakoJako as well as remixes and edits from Paul Woolford, Maceo Plex, Arthur Baker, Mark Reeder, Bernard Sumner and Stephen Morris.
