John Mellencamp presents a new in-concert recording Trouble No More Live at Town Hall via Mercury, one of two projects the Hoosier singer/songwriter is prepping for 2014. A second album, a new studio long player produced by friend and collaborator T Bone Burnett, drops later this year. An extensive tour will then kick off in early 2015.
Mellencamp's 2003 recording Trouble No More found the long-running pop and rock singer moving fully into the roots and Americana fold with an album of classic country, blues and folk covers. On July 31, 2003, Mellencamp marked the release of the album with a performance at New York City's famed venue Town Hall. Recreating many of the album's tracks live with a full band, he also added stripped down versions of some of his own songs — including "Small Town" — as well as a version of Bob Dylan's "Highway 61 Revisited" and Lucinda Williams' "Lafayette."
Side 1 | Stones In My Passway | Death Letter | Joliet Bound | Highway 61 Revisited | Baltimore Oriole | Side 2 |
Diamond Joe | Down In The Bottom | Small Town | Paper In Fire | Pink House |
